COOPSEGUROS aims for top 10 position in Dominican insurance market

COOPSEGUROS, the National Insurance Cooperative, has announced its goal to become one of the top ten insurance companies in the Dominican Republic. This objective was presented during its XXXV Ordinary General Assembly of Delegates, where the institution reported its 2025 fiscal results to representatives from 297 partner cooperatives.

At the close of 2025, COOPSEGUROS ranked 13th in the Dominican insurance market by premiums collected. The entity reported RD$1,282.9 million in net premiums, representing a 6.97% increase over the previous year. The cooperative's equity grew by 8.9% to reach RD$899.7 million, while paid-in capital rose 12.8% to RD$648.3 million, aided by the addition of six new member cooperatives.

Financial audits conducted by Moore ULA, SRL resulted in an unqualified opinion. The cooperative's solvency index increased from 4.31 to 5.94, and its liquidity index rose from 3.16 to 3.32, both significantly exceeding the legal minimum requirement of 1.00. Additionally, the institution approved and paid RD$573.5 million in claims during the year.
