COP31 media accreditation applications open until October 16
Media accreditation applications for the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference are open until October 16. The conference is scheduled to take place in Antalya, Turkey, from November 9 to 20.
The accreditation process is managed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat and involves a two-stage application. Journalists must first apply individually through the UNFCCC Online Registration System (ORS). Subsequently, each media organization must designate a ‘Media Focal Point’ to complete the institutional application via the Indico UN platform.
While the accreditation process is free of charge, submission does not guarantee approval. The UNFCCC Secretariat reserves the right to limit the number of accredited media members based on security and capacity constraints. Previous accreditations for other UNFCCC events are not valid for COP31. Information regarding visas, accommodation, and transportation is available through the official COP31 Turkey website.
