Copa Airlines and Wingo announce new regional flight expansions

Copa Airlines is increasing its service frequency between Panama and Barcelona, Venezuela. Starting November 16, 2026, the airline will add a fifth weekly frequency to the route, providing approximately 1,300 additional seats per month. This expansion aims to meet growing international travel demand from eastern Venezuela and improve access to the Hub of the Americas in Panama.

Separately, the Colombian airline Wingo will launch direct flights between Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and Bogotá, Colombia, beginning November 6. The service will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, with an initial phase scheduled through January 25, 2027. Wingo expects to offer roughly 9,000 seats during this period, with round-trip fares starting at US$300.
