Copa Airlines launches Panama‑Margarita direct flights from Nov 26

Copa Airlines will begin a new international service linking Panama’s Tocumen International Airport with the General Santiago Mariño Airport in Porlamar, Isla de Margarita, starting 26 November 2026. The route will operate three times weekly – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays – with flight CM651 departing Panama at 09:50 a.m. and arriving in Margarita at 13:36 p.m., and the return flight CM652 leaving Margarita at 14:46 p.m. and arriving in Panama at 16:30 p.m. The airline estimates the connection will add about 3,500 seats per month and tickets in economy are priced at US$481.10.

The addition makes Porlamar the sixth Copa destination in Venezuela, joining Caracas, Valencia, Maracaibo, Barcelona and Barquisimeto, and expands the carrier’s weekly Venezuelan frequencies to 46. The launch follows the suspension of flights to Caracas after the June 2026 earthquakes that damaged the Maiquetía airport. Copa’s executive president Pedro Heilbron highlighted that the new route aims to boost tourism, business travel and family visits, reinforcing regional economic development.

Tickets are already on sale through the airline’s website and authorized travel agencies.
