Copa Airlines expands Hub of the Americas connections to boost Latin American travel
Copa Airlines will increase its Hub of the Americas scheduling capacity from six to eight connection banks, with the new slots taking effect in March 2027. The expansion is aimed at strengthening connectivity across Latin America and offering passengers more itineraries, earlier arrivals and greater flexibility for business and leisure trips. Country Manager Monica Afonso said the additional banks are already on sale and will enable new links between North America, Mexico and Brazil, reducing travel times to major cities such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Manaus, Salvador and Florianópolis. The airline’s network covers more than 85 destinations in over 30 countries.
