Copa Airlines expands service with Star Alliance membership and Starlink Wi‑Fi rollout
Copa Airlines, the Panama‑based carrier that operates a hub at Tocumen International Airport, became a member of the global Star Alliance on June 21 2012. Membership gives passengers access to a worldwide network, lounge entry, priority services and mileage earning across partner airlines.
In April 2026 the airline announced a rollout of SpaceX’s Starlink inflight Wi‑Fi. The first equipped Boeing 737 entered service in July 2026, and the entire fleet of over 100 aircraft is expected to have the high‑speed, low‑latency service by the first quarter of 2027. Access will be complimentary for business‑class travelers, ConnectMiles PreferMember Presidents, Platinum and Gold members, as well as passengers with Starlink Residential or Roam subscriptions; all other passengers will be charged for use.
