Copa Airlines graduates 65 new aeronautical technicians

Copa Airlines has graduated 65 new aeronautical maintenance technicians through its Aeronautical Technicians Academy (ATA). The graduates completed theoretical and practical training in aircraft inspection, aviation systems, and turbine management.

The training program is structured in two phases: a two-year specialization in aircraft structures, followed by an additional two years focused on engine and turbine maintenance. Of the new graduates, 21 specialized in engines, which is a critical area for fleet maintenance. Notably, ten graduates are women, representing 15% of the group.

Since its establishment in 2014, the ATA has trained a total of 269 professionals. The academy targets young graduates from technical high schools as well as internal company employees seeking professional development within the aviation sector.
