Copa Airlines expands Latin American flight network

Copa Airlines is expanding its flight network across Latin America through several strategic developments. In Brazil, the airline announced an increase in frequencies between Brasília and Panama City. Starting in December 2026, weekly flights will rise to eight, eventually reaching 11 weekly flights during the summer high season of January and February 2027.

In Colombia, the airline has formally requested authorization from Aerocivil to establish a new direct international route connecting Panama City with Montería. This move, supported by local authorities in Córdoba, aims to enhance international connectivity for the Los Garzones airport and boost regional tourism and business.

Additionally, Copa Airlines is resuming its operations in Venezuela. Following a temporary suspension due to seismic activity in June, the airline will restart daily flights between Caracas (Simón Bolívar International Airport) and Panama City starting in September. This restoration brings the airline's total weekly frequencies in Venezuela to 29, covering multiple cities including Maracaibo, Valencia, Barquisimeto, and Barcelona.
