Copa do Brasil Sub-20: Flamengo and Piauí advance to second phase

Several teams have advanced to the second phase of the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 following recent matches. Flamengo secured a dominant 6-0 victory over Forte at the Ninho do Urubu training center, with goals from Josmar (two), Rogério Araújo, Joshua, Daniel Sales, and Rafael Henrique.

Piauí also progressed to the next stage after defeating Fortaleza 2-1, with goals scored by Wenderson and Vitor Hugo. In a separate match, Ceará eliminated Atlético Piauiense with a 2-1 win, courtesy of goals from Vinícius and Figueiredo.

The 2026 edition of the tournament features an expanded format with 64 participating teams. While the early stages consist of single-match knockout rounds, the competition transitions to home-and-away legs starting from the round of 16.
