Copa Gobernadora 2026 baseball tournament set for October in Guamúchil

The 2026 Copa Gobernadora “Graciela Domínguez Nava” has been scheduled for October 7–9 at the Alberto Vega Chávez Stadium in Guamúchil, Sinaloa. This tenth edition marks a transition in the event's name from Copa Gobernador to Copa Gobernadora.

Four teams from the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) are confirmed to participate: Cañeros de Los Mochis, Algodoneros de Guasave, Tomateros de Culiacán, and Venados de Mazatlán. The tournament serves as a high-level preseason preparation for the 2026-2027 LMP season.

Organizers announced that proceeds from the event will support local causes, including the Guamúchil Fire Department, the Mayla Foundation for animal welfare, and the Escorpiones War Band. Admission is set at 100 pesos per day or a 200-peso pass for all three days of games.
