Copa Iberdrola badminton competition held in Oviedo

The Copa Iberdrola badminton club competition is taking place this weekend at the Corredoria Arena in Oviedo, featuring the top twelve women's teams in Spain. The tournament includes prominent Asturian representatives, such as the defending champion and host Oviedo Caja Rural and Siroko Astures from Gijón.

Oviedo Caja Rural is considered a major favorite, seeking to build on its previous titles won in 2018, 2021, and 2024. Siroko Astures enters the competition following a strong performance last year where they secured sixth place.

Among the participants is Club Bádminton Soria-CS24, which has been placed in Group A. The Soria-based club faces a challenging schedule, including a match against the host team, Club Bádminton Oviedo. The Soria squad includes players Daniela and Isabel Corchón, Vanessa García, Beatriz Hernández, and Jimena Ayllón.
