Copa Perú 2026 National Stage schedule and signings announced

The 2026 Copa Perú National Stage is set to begin on September 12 and 13. The tournament features 50 qualified teams competing in a six-round first phase to vie for promotion to Liga 2, with the runner-up earning a spot in Liga 3.

Matchups for the opening round have been determined based on geographic proximity. In this phase, departmental champions will face sub-champions, while sub-champions will compete against champions. Following the six rounds, teams will be ranked in a single standings table to determine qualifiers for the subsequent stage.

In preparation for the tournament, La Libertad representative FC Sport River has announced the signing of Carlos Ascues, a former Alianza Lima player. Ascues joins the club following their victory in the La Libertad Departmental League, where they defeated El Inca de Chao in a penalty shootout.
