Copa Sudamericana 2026 playoffs set with DIM‑Vasco da Gama and Bolívar‑Gremio ties
CONMEBOL released the schedule for two Copa Sudamericana 2026 playoff pairings. Independiente Medellín will host Vasco da Gama on 22 July at Bogotá’s Atanasio Girardot Stadium, kick‑off at 5:00 p.m. Colombian time, played behind closed doors due to a sanction on Flamengo. The return leg is on 29 July at Rio de Janeiro’s São Januário, also at 5:00 p.m. Colombian time. The winner advances directly to the round of 16 to meet Olimpia of Paraguay.
Bolívar, Bolivia’s sole representative, faces Brazilian side Gremio. The first leg is on 23 July at 18:00 at La Paz’s Hernando Siles Stadium; the second leg follows on 30 July at 18:00 in Porto Alegre. The victorious club will play São Paulo in the round of 16, with those matches slated for 11–20 August. Bolívar qualified after finishing third in its Copa Libertadores group and is training at the CAR de Ananta amid domestic social unrest, with the board reportedly seeking a new signing to replace departed forward Cristhian Alemán.
