Copak je to za vojáka sequel announced for 2027

A sequel to the 1987 Czechoslovak comedy ‘Copak je to za vojáka’ is currently in development. Titled ‘Copak je to za mazáka’, the film is expected to arrive in cinemas by mid-2027.

The story follows the original characters decades later: Captain Tůma has become a NATO general, while Milan Kouba remains a private. Their paths cross during a family wedding, leading to renewed mischief.

Jiří Langmajer, who played Kouba at age 21, returns to the role at age 60. The production promises high authenticity in military action scenes through the supervision of army specialists and instructors.
