Coparmex urges stronger support for Mexican SMEs and defends T‑MEC

The Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana (Coparmex) highlighted that 93.2% of formal firms in Ciudad Juárez are micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), representing 10,467 of the city’s 11,232 registered employers. It called for easier financing, noting that 52% of Mexican SMEs close before two years, and promoted its "Crece Mi Negocio" programme that offers AI‑based diagnostics, training and digital transformation to improve competitiveness.

In Tampico, Coparmex president Ketzalli Rodríguez urged that the United States‑Mexico‑Canada Trade Agreement (T‑MEC) be preserved unchanged during its trilateral review. She cited surveys showing more than 80% of Mexican companies view the pact positively, that it boosted North‑American trade by 55% and accounts for over 40% of foreign direct investment in Mexico, and called for certainty to help firms plan, invest and grow.
