COPE launches new season with reporting from Ceuta and Melilla

The radio network COPE is launching its new season on August 31 with a specialized journalistic deployment focused on the migration crisis at Spain's southern borders. The network will broadcast from three key locations: Ceuta, Melilla, and the Canary Islands.

In Ceuta, broadcasters Carlos Herrera, Jorge Bustos, and Alberto Herrera will report from the Centro del Mayor near Plaza de los Reyes to provide a platform for local residents to discuss the impact of migratory pressure on the city. Pilar García de la Granja will also broadcast from Ceuta to provide context and human stories behind the migration data.

In Melilla, Ángel Expósito will host ‘La Linterna’ to examine the dimensions of migratory pressure in the North African enclave. Additionally, Pilar García Muñiz will focus coverage on the Canary Islands, a critical point in the Atlantic migratory route. Beatriz Mesa, the network's correspondent in Rabat, will provide diplomatic context and breaking news via connections throughout the programming.
