Copel inaugurates R$ 78 million substation in Nova Londrina

Copel has inaugurated the Nova Londrina substation in northwest Paraná, representing an investment of R$ 78 million. The high-voltage unit operates at 138 kV and is expected to benefit approximately 150,000 residents across nine cities.

The new infrastructure aims to increase the reliability of the electricity supply and support the installation of new businesses. According to Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior, the expansion is necessary to meet the rising energy demands driven by regional economic and tourism growth. The project also supports the agribusiness sector.

This substation is part of a broader investment strategy by Copel. Following the delivery of 19 new substations in 2025, the company plans to deliver 50 new projects by 2030 to strengthen the state's energy security.
