Copel restores 99.8% of power in Apucarana after severe storm

Copel has restored power to 99.8% of customers in Apucarana following a severe storm earlier this week. As of Friday afternoon, only 153 properties remain without electricity.

The storm caused extensive infrastructure damage, including the destruction of 290 utility poles and the felling of over 600 trees, many of which fell onto electrical wiring. Maintenance teams have already replaced 255 of the broken concrete poles.

Repair efforts in rural areas, specifically along Estrada Linda Apucarana, required assistance from the local municipality to clear roads for heavy machinery. A task force of 144 electricians and technicians remains deployed to complete the remaining repairs.
