Copeland starts exclusive talks to acquire Dickson, expanding cold‑chain expertise
Copeland, a global leader in compression technology and control solutions, announced it has entered exclusive negotiations to purchase Dickson, a May River Capital portfolio company that provides cloud‑native environmental monitoring software for regulated life‑science and health applications. The proposed deal would broaden Copeland’s cold‑chain monitoring capabilities across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical‑device, distribution and hospital sectors, adding Dickson’s compliance expertise and worldwide reach.
CEO Ross B. Shuster said the acquisition will enable Copeland to deliver end‑to‑end visibility and high regulatory compliance for customers, while Dickson President and CEO Rick Weiler said the integration will extend the platform to a larger client base and support continued investment in the technology. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending definitive agreements, consultation with the French workers’ council of Oceasoft SAS, and customary regulatory approvals.
