Copenhagen Airport records highest June passenger numbers as growth stalls

Copenhagen Airport handled 3.17 million passengers in June, the highest June total ever recorded, but growth slowed to just under 2 % year‑on‑year after 3.12 million in June 2024. The airport said several airlines cut departures, citing higher fuel prices, which limited the increase.

Intercontinental traffic grew strongly, up 7 % in June, driven by routes to Asia that rose 52 % thanks to added flights to Seoul and Ho Chi Minh City. A single‑day record of 121,722 travellers was set on 7 June, and the airport expects the busiest day of the summer on 19 July with around 124,000 passengers as it targets about 10 million travellers for the season.

Peter Krogsgaard, commercial director, highlighted that despite the record numbers, the growth slowdown reflects airline capacity adjustments rather than a drop in demand.
