Eastern Washington faces increased fire danger this weekend

In Eastern Washington, fire danger is expected to increase over the weekend due to breezy, warm, and dry conditions. A Red Flag Warning is in effect through late Saturday night, with wind gusts reaching approximately 40 mph.

While marine clouds may increase in western Washington during the morning, they are expected to clear by the afternoon. An Air Quality Alert remains in effect indefinitely for much of Central and Eastern Washington due to smoke from nearby fires, although westerly winds are forecast to begin pushing smoke out of the area through early next week.
