Copenhagen Cooking 2026 festival begins across the city
The Copenhagen Cooking festival has commenced, running from August 21 through August 30, 2026. The event transforms the Danish capital into a citywide culinary route, integrating restaurants, public spaces, and various neighborhoods such as Frederiksberg and Vesterbro.
The 2026 program features over 100 events, including communal dinners, workshops, tastings, masterclasses, and discussions. Rather than being held at a single venue, the festival is spread across gardens, streets, waterfronts, and temporary settings, allowing visitors to create custom itineraries by neighborhood or event type.
For the first time, the festival has selected a specific fruit as its central theme, focusing on the apple. Many events are conducted in English to accommodate international travelers, connecting Nordic gastronomy with urban exploration.
