Copenhagen Fashion Week showcases new designers and international trends
Copenhagen Fashion Week recently concluded its latest season, featuring significant debuts and new initiatives. The event included the presentation of the SS26 collection by Institution, the winner of the Zalando Visionary Award. Led by designer Galib Gassanoff, the show incorporated Azerbaijani cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship from the Kvemo Kartli region.
As part of a new 'International guest slot' initiative aimed at fostering global collaboration, the New York-based brand Collina Strada, founded by Hillary Taymour, also held a featured presentation. This new segment is supported by The Climate Pledge to highlight industry-wide sustainability efforts.
Street style during the week showcased a blend of minimalist Scandinavian practicality and bold trends, such as unexpected color palettes, maximalist prints, and the use of sequins in daylight. Notable trends observed among attendees included tonal dressing, elevated utility, and architectural silhouettes.
