Copenhagen Police fine cyclists for riding against traffic

Copenhagen Police have conducted a targeted traffic control at a major roadwork site on Nordre Fasanvej. During the operation, 30 cyclists and two moped riders were issued fines of 1,000 DKK each for riding against the direction of traffic.

This follows a previous enforcement action at the same location where 25 cyclists were cited for similar violations and four others were cited for using mobile phones while riding. Local residents noted that despite the presence of six warning signs instructing cyclists to dismount and walk, many continue to ride through the construction zone in the wrong direction.
