Copenhagen weekend events spotlight Pride celebrations and Frue Plads market

Copenhagen will host a series of cultural events from 8 to 16 August 2026 as part of Copenhagen Pride. The city‑center square at Rådhuspladsen will become Pride Square, featuring concerts, performances, activism and a Børnepride day for families. The full programme is available on copenhagenpride.dk.

Over the weekend, the historic Frue Plads market returns, bringing together more than 100 craftspeople and designers. Organized by the association Danske Kunsthåndværkere & Designere, the market marks the 40th anniversary of Scandinavia’s largest outdoor craft fair and draws both locals and tourists.

Ice‑cream lovers can also visit the new Magnum Pleasure Store pop‑up in Illum on Østergade 52. The shop lets visitors design their own Magnum bar and try the new Macabonbon flavour, a blend of the classic Magnum Bonbon and a macaron.
