Copernicus Science Centre launches AI training for 5,000 teachers

Over 5,000 teachers across Poland have registered for a free ‘AI Course for Teachers’ offered by the Copernicus Science Centre. Developed as part of the ZBADAI project and funded by the Ministry of Education, the initiative aims to increase educator confidence in using artificial intelligence.

The curriculum was designed by experts in collaboration with over 30 teachers of varying ages and experience levels. It includes six modules, 33 interactive lessons, and 27 practical tasks, alongside lesson plans specifically created to demonstrate AI tool integration. Participants can engage through moderated groups, online meetings, or self-paced learning via a shared digital platform.

In addition to teacher training, the ZBADAI project involves students from 100 primary and 100 secondary schools conducting research projects using AI tools. The project is scheduled to continue until the end of June 2028.
