Copán: 21-year-old woman dies after alleged assault by partner
Samira Yolibeth Galdámez Roque, a 21-year-old woman, has died at the Hospital de Occidente in Santa Rosa de Copán following a violent assault. According to family members and local reports, the victim was allegedly subjected to physical and sexual violence in the community of Santa Luz, located in the municipality of Nueva Arcadia, Copán.
Following the incident, the victim was hospitalized in critical condition for several days, but medical staff were unable to save her. Family members have identified her partner as the primary suspect, noting that he reportedly fled the area after the attack.
The body has been transferred to the Judicial Morgue of the Ministerio Público in San Pedro Sula for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The National Police are currently conducting investigations to locate the suspect and establish legal responsibilities.
