Copocyt offers scholarships for female students to study in Canada
The Potosino Council of Science and Technology (Copocyt) has launched the 2026-12 call for the ‘Go Abroad: Learning for Sustainability 2027 (GOALS)’ program. The initiative offers up to 15 scholarships for female students from public higher education institutions in San Luis Potosí to participate in an international academic stay at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
Scheduled from August 9 to August 27, 2027, the program focuses on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), leadership, and global problem-solving through project-based learning. Participants will receive a certificate of participation from Renison University College at the University of Waterloo.
The scholarship covers round-trip airfare, ground transportation in Canada, university residence accommodation (double occupancy), three meals daily, internet access, and access to university health services. Applicants are responsible for their own migratory procedures and personal expenses. Requirements include an intermediate B1 English level or higher and a valid Mexican passport. The application deadline is September 25, 2026.
