Copparo community bids farewell to Orionini religious group

The religious community of the Orionini is departing from Copparo after 76 years of presence. A farewell mass was held at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, presided over by Archbishop Gian Carlo Perego of Ferrara-Comacchio.

The departure marks the end of a history that began in October 1950, when Don Ruggero Bovelli requested the presence of priests from the Piccola Opera della Divina Provvidenza. The ceremony was attended by local officials, including Vice Mayor Bruna Cirelli, and gathered many community members, including families, youth, and elderly residents who had shared their lives with the community.

During the homily, the Archbishop noted that the shared life and faith of the community would remain a lasting gift despite the departure of the priests, including Don Daniele Panzeri, Don Francesco Maragno, and Don Agostino Casarin.
