Copper One expands Nevada drilling; Cobre boosts stake in Chile's Sierra Atacama

Copper One Resources reported that underground breccia mapping at its Majuba Hill copper‑silver‑gold project in Nevada has confirmed breccia‑hosted copper mineralisation and identified new target corridors. The company is using the results, combined with AI‑designed core‑hole planning, to refine drill targets in an ongoing exploration program covering the 9,684‑acre site.

Cobre Limited announced that its Chilean subsidiary, Sierra Cobre SpA, will raise US$12 million to issue convertible non‑voting shares, increasing Cobre’s ownership of the Sierra Atacama Copper Project to 54.38 % of issued share capital, up from 45 %. The transaction also gives Cobre a pathway to reach a 63.5 % interest and to exercise a control option by the end of 2026, potentially further expanding its stake in the project.

Both companies aim to strengthen their positions in key copper districts, with Copper One focusing on exploration precision in the United States and Cobre enhancing its equity and strategic control in Chile’s Atacama region.
