Copper One Resources acquires Utah Sport Project to expand North American copper portfolio
Copper One Resources (CSE:CEXY) signed a share‑exchange agreement to acquire Rooinek Mining Corp., gaining 100% of the Sport Project in Utah, USA. The deal will be funded by issuing 14 million shares at C$0.55 each, subject to customary approvals.
The Sport Project comprises 108 unpatented mining claims covering about 770 ha in the historic San Francisco mining district. Surface mapping has identified magmatic‑hydrothermal breccias and structural features that suggest a large intrusive‑related copper system, offering discovery potential that complements Copper One’s flagship Majuba Hill project in Nevada.
CEO David Greenway said, “The Sport project offers many of the geological features we are looking for and complements our flagship project Majuba Hill.” The company also reduced the price of its special warrants from C$0.50 to C$0.44, aiming to raise up to C$8.58 million to fund exploration and working capital.
The acquisition expands Copper One’s portfolio of copper‑gold‑silver assets across North America and aims to increase shareholder value through accelerated development of its critical‑metal projects.
