Coppernico Metals expands drilling permits for Sombrero project in Peru

Coppernico Metals Inc. has announced that its Peruvian subsidiary received approval for a semi-detailed environmental impact assessment (EIA-Sd) to expand drilling permits at the Sombrero project in Peru.

The approval significantly increases the permitted drilling area from 904 hectares to approximately 3,122 hectares. Additionally, the number of authorized drilling platforms will rise from 38 to 181, and the number of permitted drill holes will increase from 49 to 300. This expansion allows for the use of multiple drilling rigs and provides greater flexibility for future exploration programs, specifically targeting high-priority areas such as Fierrazo.

CEO Ivan Bebek stated that the milestone reflects years of technical work and community collaboration. The company is now working toward obtaining the final authorization to commence drilling activities from the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM).
