Worker injured in machinery accident at Saccarta company

A 19-year-old worker was injured in a workplace accident at the Saccarta company in Copreno, a hamlet of Lentate sul Seveso, on Tuesday afternoon. The individual became trapped with a hand inside a piece of machinery in the production area.

Emergency services, including the local police, ambulances, an advanced medical unit, and an air ambulance, responded to the scene. Following initial treatment on-site, the young man was transported via helicopter to the San Gerardo Hospital in Monza. His condition was updated to a yellow code during transport, indicating a less critical status than the initial red code alert.
