Coproté begins discussions on tea bud prices in Argentina

The Provincial Tea Commission (Coproté) held its first meeting in Campo Viera to discuss the pricing of green tea buds for the upcoming harvest. Representatives from the provincial government, primary producers, exporters, and rural workers participated in the session to evaluate the previous harvest and set conditions for the next campaign.

Primary producers have proposed a reference value of $130 per kilo for tea buds delivered to drying facilities. The final price determination will depend on evolving costs and general campaign conditions. The meeting also reviewed provincial support measures, such as electricity tariff subsidies for dryers and check discounting managed by the government.

The session was led by the Ministry of Agro and Production, including Minister Facundo López Sartori, and included officials from the ministries of Finance, Industry, and Cooperative Action.
