Coquimbo Region landscapes recover following significant rainfall

Abundant rainfall in the Coquimbo Region has led to the recovery of several natural landscapes and water sources that had been dry for years due to drought.

In Monte Patria, the La Paloma reservoir has exceeded 50% capacity, revitalizing the landscape of Isla Condorito and attracting an increase in tourists. Local authorities are promoting regional tourism, including the Pisco Route and local artisanal workshops, to capitalize on the renewed interest in the area.

Similarly, in the Elqui Valley, the Salto del Fraile waterfall in Nueva Talcuna has returned to life following recent precipitation. Local students from the Juan Rendic School recently visited the site as part of an educational activity focused on environmental conservation and observing the natural recovery of their community's landscape.
