O'Higgins secures Copa de la Liga final spot after penalty shootout

O'Higgins defeated Ñublense 1‑0 in regular time at the Estadio Codelco El Teniente, equalising the two‑leg aggregate to 2‑2. A VAR‑confirmed handball led to a penalty, which Francisco González converted in the 68th minute. The match was decided by penalties, with O'Higgins prevailing 4‑2 to book a place in the Copa de la Liga final, where they will meet Coquimbo Unido for the title and a Libertadores 2027 berth.

Coquimbo Unido, holding a 1‑0 advantage from the first‑leg semifinal, faced Unión La Calera in the return match. The game was broadcast live on HBO Max and TNT Sports Premium. Coquimbo advanced to the final after a solid performance, while Unión La Calera were eliminated on penalties.

In the parallel Copa Chile competition, Deportes Antofagasta topped Group C with 16 points and Cobreloa secured second place with eight points, both advancing to the round of 16.

These results set up an upcoming final in Valparaíso between O'Higgins and Coquimbo United, determining the tournament champion and the third Chilean slot for the 2027 Copa Libertadores.
