Coquimbo weightlifters secure titles at South American and Pan American championships

Chilean weightlifters from the Coquimbo region achieved significant success at the South American and Pan American Weightlifting Championships held in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Matías Moreno emerged as a standout performer, securing the South American U-17 championship and the best Sinclair title. He also claimed the Pan American U-17 title, breaking two Pan American records, and won the South American Junior championship. Additionally, Moreno placed third in the South American Adult category.

Fabián Villalobos earned four international medals, including silver in the Junior South American Clean and Jerk and bronze medals in several other categories. Emilia Araos secured 12 silver medals across the U-15 and U-17 categories in both the South American and Pan American competitions.
