Cor Veleno reissues debut album 'Rock'n'Roll' 25 years later

The historic Roman hip hop group Cor Veleno is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album with the release of 'Rock ‘n’ roll - Cassaforte Edition'.

In an interview with Adnkronos, rapper Grandi Numeri (Giorgio Cinini) discussed the enduring relevance of the 2001 record. The reissue features new sonic elements curated by Squarta and includes collaborations with Gemitaiz, Masito, and Claver Gold, driven by personal friendship rather than market logic.

Grandi Numeri also addressed contemporary social issues, urging youth not to trivialize protests against the rising cost of living and defending rap lyrics against critics by suggesting that political rhetoric can be more dangerous. He also paid tribute to the late Primo Brown, who passed away ten years ago and was a foundational member of the group.
