Corbin Rodenberg in critical condition after Harpo's rooftop fall
Corbin Rodenberg, a 21-year-old former University of Missouri student, remains in critical condition after falling from the rooftop bar at Harpo's Bar and Grill in downtown Columbia on Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. A witness reported that Rodenberg was sitting on the railing when he fell. According to his mother, the fall resulted in multiple skull fractures, a broken pelvis, and required doctors to relieve pressure on his brain.
City of Columbia officials stated that the establishment passed its last inspection in 2018 following a remodel. While the minimum height requirement for outdoor railings is 42 inches, municipal records show no current violations of building safety codes for the venue.
