Corbion and Corning report strong growth and stock performance
Corbion shares reached a new 52-week high of €22.86, marking a 20% increase since the beginning of the year. Despite adjusted profit forecasts issued in the summer due to rising raw material costs—specifically sulfuric acid—the company has seen strong operational performance. Organic revenue for the first half of 2026 rose by 2.1% to €631.1 million, with significant growth of 8.5% recorded in the second quarter.
Corning reported solid second-quarter results, driven by the demand for optical infrastructure in AI data centers. Revenue increased by 17% year-over-year to $4.7 billion, with the optical communications segment growing by 32% to approximately $2 billion. Earnings per share rose by 30% to $0.78, and the company aims for annual revenue of approximately $20 billion for the current fiscal year, with long-term targets reaching $40 billion by 2030.
