Cordalock develops all-in-one bicycle lock for frame, wheels, and saddle

Cordalock, a Spanish startup based near Valencia, has developed an all-in-one mechanical bicycle lock designed to secure the frame, both wheels, and the saddle using a single key. Developed by the industrial companies Lemar Leben, Factor, and Hegoplac, the device aims to replace the need for multiple U-locks and cables.

The lock features a flexible design consisting of a 5 mm braided steel core protected by interlocking rings of hardened, carbonitrided steel under a textile sheath. This construction provides both flexibility for various mounting geometries and high resistance to tampering. Testing by the Spanish technological institute AIDIMME showed significant strength, with resistance levels reaching between 19.9 and 38.4 kN.

Two versions are planned: a 2x1 model for the frame and wheels, and a 3x1 model that includes a dedicated component for the saddle. The product is currently undergoing a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, having exceeded its funding goal by over 1,500%.
