Cordoba Municipality integrates real-time weather alerts into MiDocta app

The Municipality of Cordoba has added a new functionality to its MiDocta application, allowing residents to receive real-time meteorological alerts on Android and iOS devices. The update aims to help citizens anticipate weather conditions and take preventive measures.

The system utilizes a four-color coding system based on forecasts from the National Meteorological Service (SMN) to indicate risk levels:

• Green: Low risk; no change to usual activities is required, though preventive maintenance like cleaning drains is recommended. • Yellow: Potential for damage from storms, strong gusts, or occasional hail. Users should secure loose objects and stay informed. • Orange: Considerable threat of severe storms or heavy rain. It is advised to reduce travel and prepare emergency supplies. • Red: Exceptional conditions that may cause emergencies or disasters, such as serious flooding. Residents should follow official instructions and evacuate if directed.

In the event of an emergency, the municipality advises contacting Civil Defense at 103, the Police at 911, or medical emergencies at 107.
