Core 4 Solutions lists $59.7 million AI computing cluster on eBay

US technology equipment company Core 4 Solutions recently listed a massive, used AI computing cluster for sale on eBay for $59.7 million. The system consists of 300 server racks that were reportedly decommissioned from a large-scale cloud computing environment.

The hardware configuration includes 9,600 Nvidia A100 40 GB SXM4 GPUs and approximately 4,200 AMD EPYC Rome 64-core processors, totaling an estimated 268,800 processing cores. The system also features roughly 1.4 petabytes of RAM and Nvidia ConnectX-6 networking equipment.

Notably, the eBay listing included an option for overnight shipping priced at only $50. While the components, such as the Ampere architecture GPUs and EPYC Rome CPUs, are previous-generation hardware, the seller maintains that the units remain functional.
