Core Scientific AI‑colocation revenue doubles to $164 m as net loss hits $1.15 bn

Core Scientific reported second‑quarter 2026 revenue of $164.2 million, more than double the $78.6 million earned a year earlier. The surge was driven by AI and high‑performance computing colocation services, which generated $136.7 million in revenue and now represent roughly 83 % of the company’s total sales.

Despite the revenue growth, the company posted a net loss of $1.15 billion. The loss is a non‑cash accounting charge tied to the revaluation of outstanding warrants and contingent‑value rights as the share price rose. Gross profit rose to $70 million from $5 million a year earlier, and adjusted EBITDA reached $41.1 million.

Core Scientific now leases about 1.1 GW of customer power capacity, a portfolio that could deliver more than $24 billion in contracted revenue over the life of the contracts. The firm also announced a strategic partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) that includes 15‑year agreements for roughly 530 MW of AI‑ready data‑center capacity, with the potential to expand to 2.5 GW and generate over $14 billion in base revenue.

The company’s Bitcoin treasury has been rebuilt to approximately 848 BTC, worth around $54 million, after adding 301 BTC during the quarter. Core Scientific emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early 2024 and continues to transition from Bitcoin mining to AI infrastructure services.
