Core Silver Corp. reports copper mineralization at Yukon project
Core Silver Corp. has reported progress on its Phase 1 diamond drilling program at the Touleary Project in Yukon, Canada. The first four drill holes have completed 962.6 metres of a planned minimum 3,000-metre program.
Initial observations indicate copper-bearing sulphides in all four holes, with visible chalcopyrite identified in holes TL-26-006, TL-26-007, TL-26-008, and TL-26-009. Zinc-bearing sulphides were also noted in several intervals. The company reported intersecting semi-massive to massive sulphide textures, including a 7-metre interval in hole TL-26-008.
CEO Nick Rodway stated that the mineralization styles are similar to those observed during a 2011 drilling program. The company noted that the abundance of sulphide mineralization supports the potential for a sizeable polymetallic system at the site. Laboratory assays are pending to determine the specific grades of copper, zinc, gold, and silver.
