Coreca man hospitalized after falling from balcony

A 50-year-old man was seriously injured after falling from a balcony in Coreca, a hamlet of Amantea. The incident occurred on Friday, August 21, when the man reportedly attempted to enter his home from the outside because he did not have his keys.

Emergency responders and Carabinieri arrived at the scene to provide initial medical care. Due to the severity of his fractures and trauma, the man was transported via helicopter to the Annunziata hospital in Cosenza. While his injuries are significant, he is not reported to be in life-threatening condition. Local authorities have conducted preliminary investigations and determined the fall appears to have been accidental, with no evidence of criminal activity.
