Corendon Airlines appoints Atılay Batu as Accountable Manager

Corendon Airlines has announced a restructuring of its organizational hierarchy to better separate operational management from group-level strategic management. Atılay Batu, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been appointed as the airline’s new Accountable Manager. In this role, Batu will hold ultimate responsibility for ensuring that operational activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Under the new structure, the training, ground operations, flight operations, and technical departments will report directly to Batu. To maintain oversight, the Safety Management System (SMS), Aviation Security, Quality Management, and SOME units will continue to function as independent monitoring and auditing bodies.

Yıldıray Karaer, who is stepping down from the Accountable Manager role, will continue as the Chairman of the Board of Corendon Airlines Group Companies. Karaer will shift his focus toward the strategic management of the group’s various airlines, enhancing coordination between them, and driving sustainable growth.

Corendon Airlines, based in Antalya, operates a fleet of 32 aircraft serving 165 destinations across 65 countries. According to 2024 data, the airline carries approximately 6 million passengers annually with an average load factor of 86.2 percent.
