CoreWeave expands into Indonesia and signs multi-billion-dollar AI cloud deal

AI cloud provider CoreWeave is significantly expanding its global footprint through a major entry into the Asia-Pacific market and a multi-billion-dollar partnership with Hudson River Trading.

In Indonesia, CoreWeave plans to build three data centers totaling 360 megawatts of contracted IT power. Expected to come online in 2028, these facilities represent the company’s largest geographic expansion to date. The project, which involves a multi-billion dollar investment, aims to support local AI capabilities and provide low-latency compute for Southeast Asian enterprises and startups.

Simultaneously, CoreWeave has entered into a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar agreement with quantitative trading firm Hudson River Trading. The deal provides HRT with large-scale AI cloud infrastructure, including NVIDIA Vera Rubin and HGX B200 GPU systems. This infrastructure is intended to support complex machine learning workloads and high-performance computing required for advanced financial research and model development.
