CoreWeave to Build Three 360MW Data Centers in Indonesia

AI cloud provider CoreWeave announced on Aug. 4 that it will establish three new data‑center facilities in Indonesia, marking the company’s first presence in the Asia‑Pacific region. The three sites will together provide 360 megawatts of contracted power and are slated for completion by 2028. CoreWeave will own, operate and staff the facilities, training a local team to support Indonesia’s growing AI ambitions.

The expansion follows a surge in global demand for AI‑compute capacity. CoreWeave, which already runs 49 data centers worldwide, said the move reflects the need for low‑latency, data‑local AI workloads. The company’s 2026 capital‑spending plan now targets $31‑$35 billion, and it has recently secured multi‑billion‑dollar cloud contracts with Meta and Anthropic.
