Corfo reduces commissions to aid companies affected by storms
Corfo has announced an extraordinary reduction in commissions for its coverage programs to assist companies affected by recent storms. The measure aims to facilitate access to new financing and the rescheduling of existing credits.
The reduction includes a special commission of 0.4% for new financial operations and 0% for the rescheduling of credits with current coverage. This benefit applies to the FOGAIN, Pro-Inversión, and COBEX programs for applications submitted between August 10 and October 31, 2026.
The relief automatically applies to businesses in six communes within the Atacama region—Tierra Amarilla, Copiapó, Alto del Carmen, Vallenar, Freirina, and Huasco—as well as the entire Coquimbo region and the continental provinces of Valparaíso. In other declared catastrophe zones, financial intermediaries must prove the impact through a survey or sworn statement.
Corfo Executive Vice President José Mujica stated that the agency possesses instruments capable of responding promptly to national emergencies, noting the importance of helping affected workers, families, and communities recover their activities.
